Nelson GARDEN TROLLEY
SÃO PAULO 2015
PART OF THE ABANDONED SERIES BY PISTACHE GANACHE
Nelson was found very injured at Frei Caneca Street. It was dark in the night when we found him laying forgotten in the corner, caught our eyes immediately. With a broken ankle and a missing shoe, we couldn’t say if he was going to survive. All his skin was bruised and damaged, and the bones were fragile. Only after a few months of intensive day care, sunbathing in the yard, and showering, he was able to narrate his history to us, which remains uncertain due to the surreal nuances revealed by our new friend. He once was a well reckoned hotel manager, in the realm of the Golden Age in the Grand Hotel C’adoro, a 270 room hotel, famous for the luxurious reception. Nelson, 64, message boy hired at the age of 22, now abandoned in the corner, incredulous on the epilogue of the Grand Hotel.
Now Nelson found his great passion in the yards, carrying around pots, vases and creating new roots over wheels.
